Globaltech was tasked with providing operational upgrades to post-treatment chemical pumping equipment at PBCWUD’s Water Treatment Plant No. 11 in Belle Glade, Florida. The existing equipment was aged beyond its usable lifespan.
The improvements included the replacement of the sodium hydroxide, corrosion inhibitor, and anti-scalant dosing systems. Also included were the installation of a new double-wall HDPE tank, stainless steel fabricated membrane process building inlet filters, improvements to a degasifier tower cleaning system, a new Deep Injection Well (DIW) compressor and FRP building, and an anti-scalant transfer station.
New electrical improvements included modifications to existing RIO panels and SCADA logic modifications.
