As a design build company, we know that even the most modest choice or action can impact our staff and communities. One in ten construction workers are injured every year. We make construction safety a top priority. Our goal is to ensure that all our employees return home to their families safe every night.
Job site safety starts within our office. We kick off each project with an internal meeting to discuss all safety requirements, both reoccurring and unique to the individual project. Our safety manuals are produced in house and distributed to each construction team and job site.
Safety Requirements & Proper Protective Equipment
All employees on the job site are always in proper safety gear consisting of steel-toed boots, hard hats, and high visibility shirts. In some cases, protective eyewear or face shield, gloves, earplugs, and harnesses are required.
A popular safety procedure we perform is confined space, which is an enclosed area with limited space and accessibility. One employee wears a harness at the top of the hole supervising the individuals in the space. The air and gas are tested before anyone enters the area as well as throughout the job. An air ventilator with a blower and a tripod system is provided. All information is recorded on a confined space sheet.
In the construction industry, job site conditions are continuously changing. The leadership of each crew conducts a safety talk at the start each day, reviewing daily tasks and the safety plan and procedures. Yearly training is held to keep up with safety techniques and up to date safety requirements.
We are always seeking motivated individuals to join our construction team. We have multiple construction job openings and offer excellent and competitive benefits. Aligning with safety being a top priority for us, we provide majority of safety gear as well as an annual allowance for steel-toed boots.
