Globaltech completed a Design-Build project to replace the 500KW generator in the Deep Injection Well Building. The existing diesel generator, over 30 years old, was outdated. A 4000-gallon single-walled fuel tank near the building was removed to make space for the new freestanding genset. An above-ground fuel tank remains hydraulically connected to a 4500-gallon sub-base fuel tank via a transfer pump system, increasing fuel capacity and run time. The new generator is now connected to the existing South DIW Building automatic transfer switch (ATS), with monitoring and control signals routed to the existing remote input/output (RIO) panel in the DIW building.
