This Design-Build project involved replacing two 200 HP centrifugal blowers in the North Blower Building, as the existing units had reached the end of their useful life. The new blower packages include SCADA-controlled actuated inlet valves, flow-paced blower control adjusted by dissolved oxygen (DO) levels, alarm integration into SCADA, and premium efficiency motors. These blowers now supply air to the aeration basins of Package Plants C and D for biological treatment. Globaltech competitively solicited the blower packages and presented an alternative bid that offered significant savings for the client. The project was grant- funded, and Globaltech managed grant coordination and ensured compliance with the Buy American Act and Davis-Bacon requirements.
