RB Emergency Western Well Inspection and Motor Repair-Replacement

As the Consultant, Globaltech conducted a site visit to review the exterior condition of one of the Western Wells that was experiencing motor failure.

Globaltech obtained the services of a well drilling contractor (Centerline), to remove the submersible well pump and conduct a video inspection inside the well. Globaltech was able to send the pump and motor to a local shop to test the pump and motor and conduct a forensic analysis to see why the motor failed and whether it is reasonable to repair it. Globaltech had to replace the submersible motor. Globaltech hired a hydrogeological consultant (JLA Geosciences) to provide onsite observations during the well video logging including video observations and direction, pre-rehabilitation specific capacity testing and field water quality testing.

Project Achievements / Benefits
  • Key project highlights include replacing  a new submersible well pump, column pipe O-rings and spline as well as a wellhead gasket to improve access to maintenance areas.
